The FN 509 Series of pistols just got better with FN’s Low Profile Optics Mounting System, which allows for direct mounting of a variety of mini red dot sights. The 509 Compact MRD features include a 3.7″ barrel, optics ready slide, no manual safety, compact frame and 12 round and 15 round extended capacity magazines. The frame accepts optional backstrap to provide better recoil management.
